:=):Hi guys, has anybody here raced a f30 320i against a 328i? If so how bad was the defeat/ gap? I have read the 80-120 acc is very close, so I'm curious to know.:fencelook:

F320i is 135kw.F328i is 180kw.
There's no way it can even be close.
Check out the threads of F320i with ACS kit and see what it cost to get to the F328i times.
You might save yourself about R20000.00 going this route but the day you want to trade the conversion will be worthless.
If you are a driver that even the speed limit challenges you a F30320i is fine, but if you are a enthusiast close your eyes and go for the F30 328i.

Give me a reason why this question and if good enough i will organise a datalog comparison.

The fact that these 2 cars share many similar parts in terms of the engine and drive train, and I know that the difference comes from the mapping and maybe boost, I think the pistons are also diff thus the compression ratio diff, but the 2 have more similar equipment then the diff so why the 55kw diff, and the around 1s 0-100? I would really like to see the actual gap if the 2 met on the line, I am well aware that the 328i would win but I just wana knw by wat length.

Use mathematics for this. At a speed of 100km/h you are moving at 27.78 meters per second. So if one car gets to 100km/h one second later the other one has already covered an extra 27.78mts.
