F30 320i Booked in today. Smoke on startup.

Booked my 320i in today. Started smoke on cold start ups.
Read a post on site saying it can be turbo seal leaking.

So im waiting for the results.

My dad has an f30 320i as well and on start up there is a puff of smoke on a cold start. He finds it embarrassing :crazylaugh:

Hi, I had the same issue - it was a faulty turbo. Dealer replaced turbo under warranty.

please let me know which dealership you using. I have the same issue, a puff of smoke on cold startup, though this does not occur everyday.
Took it up with my dealer and they said its probably condensation. to me that's a lazy guess.

Now at least you getting a new turbo that you can look after from the start. I suggest you ask them to program your car so that your Start/Stop function remembers your last selection. Only use start stop in heavy traffic.

Wow okay at least BMW are sorting it out properly. Where they shipping the turbo from? Rosslyn or the mother city in Germany? Glad to hear she will be sorted again!

Most probably local as they are having alot of issues and parts are available. I had my turbo, diff and bottom end of the engine replaced due to faulty oil pump.

Hi All.

Got my car back today from BMW Centurion.

They have replaced the turbo and the oil feed pipes.

Smoke was caused by a leaking seal, so they say all is 100% now will c tomorrow morning when we start.

Hi Guys.

The smoke is gone on start up. With the turbo replaced some gasket got damaged so only Saturday I noticed a oil leak. Send it back and they replaced it. So far everything seems 100%
