F20 M135i m perf exhaust complaint

Hey guys, I recently just got an m performance exhaust on my 2013 f20 m135i. Only right exhaust tip actually has sound, I'm not talking about cold start, just normal idling or even just revving. I've checked that the valve flaps are open. Anybody got an m perf exhaust om their m135i that can share their experience with me?

The valve usually opens around 3000rpm.
You can have it open permanently by disconnecting it or if you have jb4

The flap is opened all the time after the cold start. As I can physically see it down the left exhaust tip. But little to no sound from left side. Kinda weird....

M perf exhaust is just a waste of money. I found a catless DP gives you better tone and also quicker response.. i hear that JB4 will give you more power but still getting the guts to get one while still on MP.....:fencelook:

I agree and disagree, a catless downpipe can give you the same sound as a MPE, but i have both on my car and that mix is amazing,
when i drive my sisters m235i with just the downpipe i feel like im driving a little 1 liter

yeah i'm sure that combo must be sweet. I was looking at getting a better tone for my 335i and found for the price of a DP vs MPE there were more pros to the DP.

Without any budget full Akra from Turbo would be best or even a TMSS SA special....:praise:

Well I'm kind of regretting getting now. But the carbon tip looks awesome. Getting a dp will void my motorplan so won't go that route since my car has a extended warranty till 2019 from the previous owner. Bbut I'm not here to debate whether it's worthwhile or not. Just want to know if someone also has the m perf exhaust and is exactly like mine where only one side of the exhaust is giving sound. Bmw dealer told me it's normal but I'm not convinced. Just wamna know if I'm taken for a ride where they not admitting it's a faulty box lol

You can compare a rear box to a DP imo.

They do different things. The mpe sounds awsome on its own, it's more for the tone and having peace of mind.

The dp will give you more power but it also has its risks since its not a bmw approved upgrade.

Together, well that's another story. It's just epic.

Agree, they sound the same on either side.

Take it to another dealer.

My MPE sounds the same on both sides.
As the guys have mentioned, take it back to BMW.

Did BMW instal it?

Yeah they installed it for me. I'll try a different dealer then.
The technician there just looked at me funny and said it's normal when I complained to him.
