F20 Cruise Control Intermittent issue

Hi All,

Hoping to rack your brains on this one. Last weekend i took a longer drive than usual and turned the cruise control on, set it to the usual 125km/h and off i went.

However after about 5 min of driving it seemed as though the car hesitated for a split second. I looked at the cluster etc and saw no errors, no funny engine noises...all seemed ok. 10km further down and the same occurred only this time it did it about 3 times in succession. Basically it feels like the car hit brakes slightly for a split second and then has to speed itself up again to catch up to the 125km/h it lost during this issue. With the cruise control off, no issues at all.

Any ideas what it could be or i could look for?

It seems like people aren't too clued up regarding cruise control. My brother's e46 had an issue back them where the cruise control only worked up until 4th gear,as soon as you went to 5th the cruise control switched off.

He eventually sold the car as is,nobody could figure it out
