F20 116i Traction control

Hi guys

I have recently purchased a 116i new ... Awesome car I must say but I still regret why I didn't just bite the bullet and get a 125i or 135i one time ... then again, I've got a weekend toy to keep me going for now

Anyway ... How do you turn off the traction completely?
When in comfort mode the 'dynamic traction' can be switched on but not in Sport mode. But that still doesn't put the traction off completely.

I could possibly just remove an appropriate fuse but surely there is some rain dance that would turn it off completely?

Tried that.

Doesn't do anything

Try holding it for longer. AFAIK, you don't need to be in a specific mode for this to work. Are you holding the TCS button or the Sport button?

Don't know what I was smoking when I tried holding it down for 5 seconds ( or maybe I forgot how to count) :skit: ...Just tried it now and the traction does switch off completely ... However it doesn't allow you to stay in Sport mode ...
Shot Nick ... Those links explained it :=):

Guys ... I've noticed there's JB4 etc for the M135i and I think also for the 125i ... Are there any plug 'n play options for the 116i?

I don't seem to find any

EDIT: okay there's the Hartge from RGM ... Any word on those things?

Our company owns a F Series 118i daily driver and I kept it stock, ridiculously slow compared to the 135i was contemplating playing with the actuator on the turbo as it's easy access from the engine bay but decided to leave it alone rather, our fuel saver

Hartage is expensive. RGM is a ripoff. I would be surprised if it's under R15k

There isn't a JB for these motors ...
Ya it is really slow ... especially after all my previous cars
Thought I could get a little bit more out of it but I don't want to go the software route.

Sheesh, 15k is just ridiculous ... Could almost rebuild the engine in my MR2 lol

You can get that motor to 155kw like the jcw motors with software and maybe a few bolt ons. Should be more fun then.
