F10 M5 Spec

Hi All,

Just wanting to know what options you guys have chosen on your M5 and also what is average age of owners.

I was told that I over speced my car.

Age: 35

Options:

1. 20" rims
2. Lane assist
3. Lane departure
4. M seats
5. Roof lining
6. Soft closing doors
7. Rear entertainment
8. rear heated seats

Not an F10 owner but you car isn't that over speced. 7 and 8 seems a bit excessive but if you have kids/clients in the back then awesome!

The extras that I can not do without on my M5 are b and o sound, m comfort seats. My kids love the rear entrainment system.

The others extras that I have like soft close doors and heated seats are a waste of time. The problem is that you will never get your money back on these little luxuries when you sell your car one day. And these extras cost a lot. I would have loved to get the ventilated seats instead of the soft close doors for example. Buy hey since u got them enjoy the extras and don't worry about what people think at least your M5 is different from the others out there.

I remember my Dad used to have soft close doors in his 745i, people who didn't realise used to bang the doors shut. Made me cringe.

also rear entertainment for the kids
i would say the 20 inch wheels as well

am not to sure you need the lane departure stuff

33 Years old, but sometimes I do worry its a toppie car.

Similar spec, no heated rear seats and normal seats with elec lumbar.
Only others are climate comfort windscreen, sun glazing (tint) and voice control, which I'm not sure is regarded as an option, but it did cost.

I didn't spec the car myself but I wanted one now, so I had to take some options that somebody else chose. Personally I would have left off the soft closing doors and lane departure, lane assist stuff. The kids like the rear entertainment though.
