It was the same bmw that said only a limitted number of 1Ms will be produced...a supercar is def on the horizon sooner than later :joy:

I dont see how BMW can view the M5 and M3 as supercars...no idea how they can arrive at that...:nonono:

I think the person who is interested in an ///M5 and the person who is interested in a GT-R is not usually the same person

The driver of a GTR could not care less about the luxury, space, practicality, and Q-car status of the ///M5, whereas the BMW driver values such comforts above the pure performance aspect of the GTR.

Hmmm......
Well I own a R33 GTR and an e34 M5 and a few other ///M cars. SO I might be tempted to disagree with the statement above:rollsmile:.

We all buy cars for different reasons and there is no reason that someone who buys one car for one reason doesn't buy another for another reason. Those reasons are not mutually exclusive.

Eg:
I have a rebuilt 1962 Landcrusier Fj45 with no roof and a V8 1Uz-Fe motor in it - to get around the farm and because 35" tyres are just cool.
I have a 2011 Landrover Discovery 4 V8HSE so the wife has a nice car to drag sprogs around in and for us to treck away on holiday.
I have a 2007 Z4 M Coupe cause i just love the idea of a 2 seater hard top with a S54 motor under the hood

And I am still the same on person.... just lost of different "needs" or as my wife puts is "Justifications" :biglol:

I hear Nic on this one. Its all about needs and wants and they not mutually exclusive. But i sometimes buy purely on impulse :joy:

Last purchase purely on impulse was a t-shirt showing a rat with a massive boner and the caption "Here Kitty Kitty".... wifey thought it was a little crude...
I thought it was hilarious....:roflol:

I bought a T shirt in Portugal last year that said in huge letters:

"Fuck Google, ask me"

vlp3r....the car was delivered last month. Fortunately, there was a guy in line after me to take it.

I was not allowed to test drive the car (there are no demos yet). Secondly, i had second thoughts about the car...not the price...but the car itself...subdued looks and iffy sound. Then i worked out how much it will cost me to mod the car so that it screams my personality...

So, at this moment i find a 1M more exciting...sorry to say

Fair enough, I've always been of the opinion that the car you spend your hard-earned on has to excite you and stir something within you, or else, walk away.

You considering one of those marked up Valencia 1M Coupe's from Dada's Motorland?

Mmm, all good arguments, but I have a soft spot for M5's, so my decision will always be in favour of them.
