Just today my plastic aircon vent housing? broke and will need replacing.

There are also a few other small trim pieces that I'd like to replace.

As a total noob, other than getting them from the dealer, is there any other worthwhile options when replacing the parts? Or is there any other way to fix them?

Centre aircon vent: I don't see a part which is just the outer plastic housing, the closest is this? 64229209137 (I think)

Left interior door handle cover black: 51417226363 (I think)
A clip is broken so it's slightly loose

Centre cover for lock: 51169171553 (I think)
One clip is broken, so its a bit loose

Check out MD House but that net, I recall coming across a thread where the okes removed it and soaked it in something for a night or two and let it dry. Somehow it brought back some life into it...ill share it here if I can find it again

So the dealership does not sell the plastic housing separately, so the whole unit was quoted 4200 ex vat on that Aircon part.

Also about 600 ex vat on the door handle cover.

How is the fitment of the Chinese parts?I've seen some on Temu,Ali express etc.

Hansi, where you from? Here in CT there is a guy stripping an F10 motorsport that might be willing to sell the stuff you are looking for.
He is expensive as i bought one or two items from him but still cheaper than agents.

Durban unfortunately. But I've decided to order the Aircon vent from Temu so long.

Sorry for the suspense... :ROFLMAO:

This pic was taken a couple of years ago just after I got the car. The previous owner was a shorter elder gentleman who had stuck like a block of plastic or rubber on the footrest to make it more comfortable for him when driving. So here, I had just pulled off the block and hadn't cleaned up the 2-way tape as yet.
