Hello All
Over the weekend I replaced the rear pads and sensor on my 520 D.
Left hand side was a dream no issue at all.
Right hand side wasn't so easy, I released the park brake by turning the splines clockwise after removing the actuator, it didn't turn as much as the left side and I noticed that the piston was turning when I turned the spline, after battling for awhile i managed to get enough space for the new pads and put it all back together.
the first application of the park brake was good, I released and pulled it again, very little movement this time from the actuators like you'd expect but then I got the yellow park brake failure message,
Some googling etc, told me to pull the fuses for 5 min, no change.
battery disconnected also no change.
"soft " reset by pushing the park brake lever for 5 seconds also no change.
I'm assuming that the right rear caliper has something to do with the issue, but not sure.
Does anyone have any ideas ?
IPC or manual for the brake system , so i can get new seals and see whats going on inside the caliper ?
Thank you in advance for all the help.
Cheers Jonathan
