guys so today i just got my car back from jsn motors in bryanston , when I dropped the car off I had more than half a tank of petrol and my petrol consumption was sitting on 11.1L .. when I got my car back I realised that my petrol consumption was sitting at 23.2L and I had less than a quater tank of fuel, some clown decided to drive the crap out of my car , I took this up with them and they ended up reimbursing me with a full tank of fuel!! thank you to netstar cybersleuth.. had it all on record, the guys drove my car to speeds of 180 .. think I could take this up legally? :/ I wouldn't mind a complementary m4

These guys take chances!

On my previous Golf I had to take it in to have the boot lock replaced... The tech seemed to find it necessary to also take it on a 35km test drive... Whenever my car goes in I take pics of the mileage and fuel in my tank...

Take it up legally cause thats bull shit, inform Bmw SA about it, please also tell me you didnt except the full tank fuel as a "settlement" because by them giving you the tank of fuel they have admitted wrong doing. Im sorry but i wont except this crap of 180km/h illegal speed in my car by an idiot i dont know that is suppose to be trusted with MY property

JSN is usually a good dealer and so they will want to retain their reputation.

Take this further.

Print a copy of the tracker report and hand it to the dealer principal and tell him that this is going legal. Get an attorney and show him the report. The dealer will pay through their arses for this. Proof of those speeds and mishandling customer property will lead to a possible investigation of other customers' cars and their "test" runs.

You've got the ball in your court. Hit it hard.

I don't think a cash payout will happen.

They may offer you free repairs or services up to a certain cost. I really don't know. Even if there is no compensation, these bloody dealers need to get their act together and learn that some people out there won't take this light heartedly.

I will never leave my car with any dealer.

yeah im not really looking for a payout, its just to show them that we don't deserve that kind of service , and its not cheap doing services if your car is out of a motorplan. there's definitely expectations when you purchase a bmw.

took my car to sandton auto, and seems like they have a new system where they check everything before the car goes in for service, takes a while but I like their attention to details:thumbs:

now imagine,180km/h and they write your car off, what would happen knowing that they have a sign saying you leave your vehicle there at your own risk

at club motors they do drive your car,but don't rape it and I have been on the route, through suburbs with speed humps so cant get to illegal speeds

keep us updated:thumbs:

Damn if it was my car I would force them to let me install JB4 and if you don't tell neither will I

My last service at Princes VW in Benoni was with my GTI 5, they took photos of everything like mileage, fuel, spare wheel, tools, exterior etc. it was the 1st time they ever did it, the only problem they never took photos of f**k**s that stole my car from their carwash while their lazy ass employees were on lunch and left the keys in the car. Then to add insult straight afterwards there was a mean storm and Netstar couldn't fly, all we know it landed up going into Tembisa.

So it's still not nice what they did but at least you got your car back!!
