F@cking hate Guinea Fowls

Hi all,
Started off the year in a bad way today.

Was driving up from the Coast and just after stopping at the Halfway (Bergview) there was a shit load of guinea fowls at the side of the road and one f@cking guinea fowl was in the middle of the road. I was cruising at 120km/h and i can clearly see this thing was not moving. There were cars close to me so could not move anywhere. Decided to keep going hoping this thing would run to the side, but instead it decides to fly up and then back down right onto my windscreen.
Windscreen shattered. :banghead::banghead:

There were a few thunder storms and could not use the wipers:censored:
Got home at about 20h00 and have not had a chance to take pics yet.

Will get some pics in the morning
Insurance claim on Monday

Guinea foul are the stupidest birds you can find...
Someone down the road keeps some as pets whenever I get close to them with the car there is at least one that decides to run infront of the car I think they have a suicide gene or maybe they really like cars and want a closer look?

That really sucks man, I noticed that they are really dumb, the moment it starts getting a little bit darker they start hanging out on roads, and its not like they don't blend in very well at all, you'd think they would have learned by now that roads are dangerous.

Little perinaise sauce and they taste like chicken! :)

Was with some friends at Seaforth in Simonstown on new years and they are cute as chicks but the big ones are dangerous for windshields! my dad hit one years ago in his E34 M5 so I have personally seen what foul do to windshields. Good thing it hit your windshield and not your bumper, fog light, brake duct, under panel, front grill ect, those things will run you back alot more than the excess of the insurance claim for a new windshield.

That's why when I see them in the road I "Skiet die bliksems!!" :cursin:
I actually read up on this, and it seems taht even pedestrian accidents are mostly bmw's involved. :dropjaw:
So its not just the foul, cats, dogs etc... its also humans.
When speaking to one of these pedestrians that survived being run over by a bmw,
he told me that he had to wait 7 minutes, before he stepped into the road. :mmm:
I asked him why 7 minutes??? he told me cause he was waiting for a bmw, wanted to be run over in style :)
