Expansion tank woes

Hi

So after 6.5 years and 92 000km our E46 BMW's expansion tank decided to crack. This happened very suddenly.

Luckily it happened close to home. Phoned BMW on Monday morning. Car was collected on a flat bed and taken to Forsdicks BMW as this is the closest dealer. Collected the car this afternoon with a bill of just over R2000.00. This included a new tank, cap, pressure test and anti-freeze.

The only bad thing, two small scrapes on under side of front bumper. Now this can be from loading the car on the flat bed or somebody does not know how to park at BMW.........

Will inform the dealer about the scratch marks when they phone me tomorrow.

Cheers

Hi
Had a leak between the radiator & expantion tank on my e36 for a while now & finally sorted it out last week.Took the car to Joe's Radiators in Retreat ,would have costed me R690 if it was just the tank but found out the radiator itself was blocked in 8 areas ended up paying R1100 fit & supply of a brand new radiator & tank
Thanks JOE"S
