So I admit I do not know THAT much about cars (just enough to be dangerous). But since joining this forum a few weeks ago I've been wondering two things:
1.) Angel eyes: What exactly is that? As far as I can tell that is what you call outside rings on the BMW lights - they that looks like "halos", right? Is "angel eyes" only on BMWs? Do angel eyes not come standard on most BMWs? Or only on the newer ones, thats why its being "modded" on older cars. I read that F10, 6 coupe and new F30 is apparently first cars to come standard with angel eyes, is that correct? Do you not get angel eyes on E90? Or maybe not standard but only with Xenon? I have Xenons on my E90, when lights are on (not Xexons), the "outside" rings on the inner light (the Xexons) are on - so is that not angel eyes?
2.) De-cat: What is De-cat? As far as I can tell it is removing the "catalytic convertor" in the exhaust, right? The convertor "cleans" the exhaust gases. De-cat effectively removes/bypasses the "cat"? Is it not illegal? Why does it give improved performance? Does it not impact on the turbo (As I understand it, basically the turbo works from pressure buildup of exhaust gasses)?
