Ettiene's 318iS

I just love this car!

Waiting for Sean (Axis) to come back to me regarding bushes and some Koni dampers with H&R springs.

I know that the E36 is known for mushrooming/tearing rear strut mounts but I've checked and all is good.

Jho....so this car is a bit of a Fanatics slut car.

So in sequence it was Solo Man car, then Moose', Tinnovitee and now mine.

I see from all the documentation that she was bought from Auto Atlantic, V&A Waterfront.

haha, let me know when you decide to sell, maybe il be next in line

Get some reinforcing plates, might as well do them when you replacing the shocks.

Axis has rear plates, on my e46 had to get from the dealership.

I've got the h&r koni setup, you are going like the way it handles, especially on the IS( my boet has one, it has very different feel to the e36 6 pot models).

If your bushes are finished get some poly stuff, makes a nice difference. Some say poly makes the ride be to hard some not. It a personal thing I think. My car feels pretty stiff/tight and I like it that way.

Already ordered some goodies from Axis including;
1. RTAB
2. REAR CAMBER ARMS
3. SHOCK MOUNTS FRONT AND REAR
4. AXIS RTAB LIMITER KIT
5. ARB bushes
6. Complete tie rod ends
7. Reinforcement plates.

Tinnovittee already swapped out the LCAB with M3 ones.
Next will be the Springs and dampers.

Once I have everything I will fit the parts.

😎😎

Can't help but take pics of her....
Its funny, its the oldest car I've owned but I love it! There is this "cool factor"/"swag" around old BM's...

I have got the limiters as well, have are tricky to get into place but they do fit. Some where in my thread I showed how.

With all those parts replaced it is going to feel epic, you must bring it to the track once it all sorted.

Power is not everything, corner speeds make up more time.

+1 !!

The M44 is responsive and lively despite its modest output. If it wasn't my daily, I would have defs taken her at least for a skidpan day.

So I have received some goodies from Axis including RTAB, rear camber arms, shock mounts, reinforcement plates etc..
Can anyone refer me to a shop that can install them for me.

Keep in mind that GP is 2 hours drive from where I stay[FACE WITH COLD SWEAT].

Phone a place in PTA west , Syd Suspension, and was quoted +-R4.5k to have everything fitted including the dampers and shocks (still have to orders them) and around two days that the car would have to stay their.

Who else can help me with this????

I'm hoping Gizmo will read this and suggest a place or something.
I think these parts will change the car completely from how it "handles" currently.

It will, I think you should DIY it.

There are tons of videos on how to replace all those parts. Bavauto is a good channel to start with.

That's how I " learned" how to replace everything, on my e46.

Some of the stuff I will try by myself but would like a pro to change them for me. Besides space and some tools will be an issue.

So today was the day to have a go at cleaning the underside of the car.

36 degree heat didn't stop me thanks to some Flying Fish, lemon flavour of course[WINKING FACE].

Did take some pics then I got in the "zone" so the wife was taking some of the pics of me slaving away.

Before;

After( before I got into the cleaning, scrubbing zone);

Then I couldn't be bothered and the wife was snapping pics[SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]
