If BMWs model range wasn't already senseless with a few models it now is.

I mean a 3 series coupe is now called a 4 series which is fine but than you have the 4 series GC and the 3 series GT.
the coupe version of the 5 series is the 6 series which is also fine but we have the 5series GT and 6 series GC??

The BMW 4 series grand coupe was made from a 4 door 3 series and given 4 doors so that it looks like a car that already exists in the market... Logic

Clearly the BMW does not want to respect the heritage of the 6 series moniker, I find it strange, remember how the E82 M car is called 1M and not M1 due to the previous M1 being a totally diffferent designed vehicle. It that situation the badge was protected, but here it does not apply. Surely this will annoy people who purchased the newer generation 6 series vehicles. Outside of the Ms the 6 series was dream car material for most of us BMW fans.

I dont know how BMW think these designs are cool, and that people will buy them. To my eyes, the GTs look like inflated Rover SD1s all of them. I guess
to BMW any poo-poo with a BMW badge will sell. How does one choose this over something like the new Volvo XC60 in this video below, such a thing of beauty and stunning design inside and out.[video=youtube]
