Engine Swop

Good day, new E90 owner looking for advice.

I recently bought a manual 320i but I would've liked a 20/30D. Is an engine swop advisable or should I sell and buy a Diesel car?

For those wondering why I bought a 20i in the first place, I was bored and saw it on Auction for R60k with 190KMs.

Sell the 320i and buy a 320d.

Always this. Most especially not something as dumb as this, petrol to diesel is a *monster* job.

Even 60K is a alot... but what's done is done. It's probably in the top 5 worst cars BMW has ever made and you'd think the manual may save it, but it doesn't.

Don't bother engine swapping or anything of the sort. Sell it or trade it on a 20 or 30d and you'll be far happier. Don't throw good money after bad, especially for a very mediocre end result as the others have said.
