...So I was Bored

Decided to give my engine bay a wash and while the engine covers were off I got creative :fencelook:

Engine bay Before:

After:

This was much more time consuming than expected :nonono:
In my mind it looked awesome; I have mixed feelings about this.

Thanks Kobus

It started with and Engine Wash, And while I had the covers off The Spray Paint came out :fencelook:

First cleaned all engine Covers and sprayed them in "Electric Blue"
After a few coats taped up all the markings and lettering on the covers and went over with a few coats of "Matt White"
Then a few coats of Gloss white.

Removed the air filter housing and then removed the top of the housing to spray as well, using same method.

Sprayed clear coat over all sprayed parts and removed tape on covered parts.

The idea was Blue, White and Black to match the BMW emblem.

Looks really good :bravo:

How you going to keep that clean :nonono:

My thoughts exactly, white in the engine bay is going to be hard to keep clean.
Looks good though, I've seen red bay on a black car, looked awesome.
I might do a gun metal color one day

Very interesting! Customised engine covers! Why not!

Great idea - will probably require regular cleaning but it looks neat!
