But can't tips just be changed?

Also, I'm not sure how the M3 ones look, but I find these when I browse for normal e46 (I own a 330i):

I have a SS on my e46 M3 (system including sport cats) and the best way to describe the sound is raspy. There is a decided drone at 2000rpm that can be annoying if you spend alot of time at those revs (I don't :))

All in all the fit, sound and look are excellent and they are a solid piece of kit.
Cheers

At scunick do u have the sport or the race version

At arym I have heard and sat in a M with a full exhhaust done in dbn I wasn't impressed
Sound wasn't to bad but the kar felt like it lost its grunt n wasn't as alive as the stock M
So I'm abit skeptical with full exhaust. Rather jus go for a backbox

Oh sheesh, I see what you were talking about Kabal.

Is there a technical reason they paint it black, or is it an aesthetic thing?

I quite like the idea of the black look, so that you can't see the box when you're at a low angle behind the car - that always looks 'unfinished' in my opinion, but I don't feel very strongly either way.

Kabal, are you pulling through to the meet on Wednesday the 4th (I think)?

Sorry Zain for kind of hijacking the thread - but it's in your interest too.

For what it's worth, I've checked the 2 on youtube, and I love the aggressiveness of the Eisenmann. That would be where my money goes...but the only opinion that really matters is yours.

Goodluck with the decision though. It's a big one. The sound of a BMW is like the arse on a fine woman - all that important.
