How many KM's between these changes, as they usually take about 200 to 300 KM to adjust the ECU values. Maybe have this checked out as a starting point ... also check that they are plugged into the right banks (I have no idea what it should be on your car, but on a 6 cylinder E46, having them plugged into the wrong banks caused quite a bit of issues).
AFAIK, even an aftermarket ECU will still not work properly if your O2 sensors are not reading correctly.

Not sure of the technical terms, but basically on a 6 cylinder, there are 2 sensors on the header (i.e. one per bank). Sometimes when guys work on the headers they switch them around and this causes issues with the ECU.
So basically, just double check that with the guys who worked on your exhaust/downpipes that they put the O2 sensors back in the correct locations.
Maybe someone who is familiar with the exhaust layout on your car can comment.
