Hi guys

Would I need the matching lockset if I want to change my ecu on my e87 ?

No. You only need to replace ecu, provided you know someone who can align it for you.

Problem with replacing lockset on these cars are that vins and mileage is incorrect, throwing up tamper dots on dash and having issues with DSC working properly.

considering its a Toyota I don't think mileage is an issue

Doesn't have the original BMW ecu and they butchered the Harness so dash. Climate control. Electric windows. Lights don't work
