Sorry to hear about your business problems.
I will be looking for new rear tyres soon and will definitely contact you.
But in the interim I do have one or two ideas.
Like LZ said in his post he was looking for fleets and insurance work etc etc.
Why not go to local used car dealerships in your area and offer them a package on tyres or a good price etc? Also you could try car hire places? Or any businesses with large fleets of vehicles... Maybe even the local municipality? I dunno just an idea.
LZ seemed to be in a tough spot back then. And now he seems to have work pouring over his head. I can only hope the same for you.

Larger car hire companies deal with larger franchised business, so that they aren't limited to just one supplier in one town only.....been there, tried it.
Muncipality.....don't know how to rig a tender yet
We have contracts with KIA in Kempton, a local courier and warehouse distribution company, VW clinic and Emperors palace
Trying to get a foot in the door with some of the driving schools locally, and whenever I see a delivery vehicle in Kempton, I take down the telephone number and then look them up, and approach them, many times they already have contracts with other companies, or are a larger company then just Kempton districts, and prefer to have more choice of fitment centres that a franchised outfit can give them.
I even had a marketing flyer made up, that I would use when I presented myself to the potential businesses.

This is unfortunately a commonality with SME's all over the place Ralf, and is something we need to prepare for and stand up and ask for help when its needed.
I think also, if anyone has any ideas as far as further marketing ploys, lets see what we as consumers would like to hear from this establishment and see if we cant do something more sustainable than just give of our business by way of alignment and the like.

I have my thinking cap on Ralf, lets see what we can do.
Put some ideas out to make business sustainable and not just a peak for now in terms of turnover.
Seen as you are based in Kempton, why not approach the rental companies. Find out who their current suppliers are and ask for a call to tender?
Even Venter trailers and the like? Based in LZ's premises. He may have an in-way with them being based next door?
Approach the likes of Logistics companies. Give them your rates on balancing and such.
See if there is something mobile that you can do in the future. Mobile wheel balancing. Strap that machine to generator to a trailer and haul it from company to company?
I dont know, just throwing ideas around.
Need to find a point of differentiation other than promotion that will make business sustainable you know.
