Unlike the cities, here in Mpumalanga the early morning frost, mist & fog is extremely thick & dense, especially on the open farm roads now that winter is coming.
Now my car stays outside, NOT the Bmw
the VW, my daily work car. Last year I struggled badly with winter :shakehead: to begin with, the early morning frost was a mission to get off the windscreen, had to use hot water & a squeegee but that doesn't last long because out on the open road the mist/fog builds up on the windscreen and freezes before the wiper blades can do its job  & dont ever dare use the windscreen washer because that gets frozen as well, then I can't see :jack: & have to pull over to clear all the frost built up ~)
Then theres this other issue, not quite sure what its called but its a fine white blanket that builds up on the windscreen in thick fog & it happens close to lakes & riversides, this is one thing that I can't seem to get rid off !!! I tried everything.... wipers, windscreen washer, demister, open windows & even the aircon..... nothing !!! this only goes away after driving in the sunlight or where the fog isn't so thick.
This year I'm planning ahead :thinker: so far I found driving with yellow sunglasses makes a HUGE difference in the fog but isn't a cure for that white blanket that builds up on the windscreen. I bought that additive you add in the windscreen washer from BMW, prevents the water from freezing..... any products you guys perhaps know of that I can use to cure or lessen my woes :bawling: any suggestion would be appreciated
