I cant decide if the car looks happy or scared...

Hahaha, trust me the car is sad:roflol:

Stripping a perfectly good, working car is the definition of madness...

At least all of this will give you piece of mind.

Its one hell of an expensive and involving exercise for a little peaceful sleep :crazylaugh:

Hahaha yeah it is a lot of effort to give me that comfort. But I'd rather not even think of the alternative... I knew this day was coming even before I bought the car

I made a little progress today, although not a hell of a lot. Too many other things happening at the moment...

At least the front is off. The front frame is loose now, just waiting for all the fluids to drain as the various radiators are attached this front frame.

Today had a little more progress. I had Nikhil come help today, so things moved along more swiftly for a change :)

The bonnet, plenum and many of the radiators have been removed

Yes, this car has no less than 5 (!) radiators. Coolant, AC, Power Steering, Transmission and Oil coolers. What a mess... But the plan has been to redo the fluids on all these components anyway so while I was busy they all had to come out.

Last obstacle was the oil cooler that's been removed, so the front brace could now be removed

The Transmission radiator removed, PS pump and AC compressor removed

Now there's a bit more place to work. I've also seen dirty spots that I couldn't get to a few months back when I though I did a proper clean.

Needless to say, all the fiddly bits was definitely not easy and would've been painful if Nikz didn't lend a helping hand!!

I'll see if I have the energy to get the wiring harness off and the fuel lines removed tonight.

Tomorrow the exhaust has to come off and the propshaft has to come off. Then I have to go through everything with a fine tooth comb to make sure I have all the bits and pieces disconnected so the motor can gearbox can come out. Let's hold thumbs!!!!

I had a little time to work again today. The major thing I wanted to do is to get the engine wiring loom removed and clear the top completely of attached wires and stuff. Getting the loom removed was a bigger job than I thought...

Once I get under the car and remove the oil sensor cabling the whole loom can be removed from the car

I had to remove all the connections in the ECU box as well. The wires that are still there are for the O2 sensors, these will also have to come out.

The fuel return line from the fuel regulator, and the two throttle actuators underneath. The actuators are also coming out as I'm getting new gears cut for these.
