E92 M3 M DYNAMIC DCT

Its stock with schnitzer exhauset..I have had numerous problems with this car , theres too much of wind noise at 220km/h plus , also the cluth is riding too much , gear changes aren't immediate , response is too slow , not sure what It is but sent it many times and no dealership seems to know what it is , always returned as fault not located , another thing is theres a winding whistle noise if you listen carefully , when its slowing down when driving it a bit hard..any recommendations on which dealership to visit in Durban? or anyone else experience similar problems?

Currently extending motorplan for another year , R16000...:bangdesk:

Come on, get real! Complaining about wind noise at 220km/h. Really! What do you expect?
I'm sure a Bentley has audible wind noise at that speeds.

What shift speed is the box usually operating at? Maybe test drive another M3 DCT? Maybe it's not unusual.

settings are sport plus , and shift speed on 6 under m settings

why?
I had wind noise on the e92 335 at speeds above 200-220.
It turned out to be a torn windscreen rubber on the top edge causing the noise and once replaced solved the noise issue.

Why would you need to do 220 :fencelook:

it was built to go to those speeds infact disappointing it cuts off at 270

Jus last week, a guy told me about the same riding clutch problem in his DCT. says he sent it to BMW a few times and they cant pick up any fault..

Does this only start after hard driving or is it there all the time?

I don't have excessive wind noise with my E46 330i at 220km/h. Wanna do a straight swop? I'm keen!

I currently own the same car and can safely say this is not normal. Sell it before it starts to cost money IMO

Sell it mate.

The clutches don't usually give problems, but the M-DCT isn't as aggressive as the older SMG. It has that walk mode that allows the vehicle to stroll along slowly in traffic by it own.

I however see stupid M3 owners abusing this system. Since it allows the throttle to be pushed down a bit before the clutch fully engages when not in sport mode, some dumb people show off and rev it a bit like a manual and constantly allow the clutch to slip at slow speeds. This causes premature failure of the one clutch.

For example when turning into a parking bay :fishwack:

Hey zakhir did you ever sort the problem out. Mine started doing this a few weeks now it's been odd things tho but seems to be fine. Like when changing gears with the pedal shifter it's delayed and sometimes sounds like it's slipping. Will book it in when I get some time. Feels alil slower aswell. For what it's worth mine is approaching 80k
