E92 M3 DCT Dyno.....

which is the correct gear to do a power run on the DCT gearbox and the
approx loss on the drivetrain.

Had the car on the dyno gave different readings on 3rd and 4th gear.

OK hope i'm doing this right

My car (328 E36) gets dyno'd in 4th every time which is 4th gear ratio of 1.192 and final drive ratio of 2.92. Your car with the 7 spd will have a simpilar "Final combo" in 5th gear. Gear ratio 1.390 and final drive 2.563. Maybe one of the more technical guru's could help.

Hi there...3rd gear results...335 bhp and torque was 335 nm
4th gear results...340bhp and torque was 355 nm

the above results were obtained @ 7700 rpm not power peak which is 8300 rpm

I made 202KW with 275NM ATW on Snail with no mods. I wonder if that's low?

The only issue with running the car on the dyno in 4th is Air coming in the engine!

What speeds do you normally get in 4th esp @ redline?
Snails fans are nowhere near that capacity which is worrying.

Safer in 3rd but better results in 4th.

I am at the coast and the car does have an Ac Schnitzer rear silencer.

Howsit , u should try odr as a benchmark.
I made 350whp on that dyno and it's uncorrected .
This was in 3rd gear.
Cause u have a dct I think 4th Is the right gear
