e90 Steering Lock Fault

Hi guys

Only had this car for hardly 2 weeks.
its a e90 2006 325i M-Sport
Went camping previous weekend, a bit of a dirty and uneven road.
Dont think i did any hard to the car but started giving me a problem (or should i say problems - I HOPE NOT !)

When going onto a hump, i hear a rattling sound on one of the wheels, like a stabilizer is not lekker or something.

Then monday, parking lot, it doesnt wanna start.
my battery is fairly new - but needs a jumstart to start the car.
RED ERROR STEERING WITH LOCK PAD ON IT.

PLEASE ADVISE WITHOUT RIPPING MY WALLET APART ! LOL

How is the alternator ?

Also do you have a tracking unit installed?

Alternator is fine and no tracking device.

reading up, it might be a steering column being faulty and also need software upgrade.

need more information.

If ur in Gauteng all u need is Gert>>> Ratslaaf@OBDWorx, mine did this 2 months back n i took it to Gert, just 1 minute with Gert my car was fine, mosk likely your battery need to be registered and ELV counter cleared.

Hi guys

went to Battery Centre,
the battery recommended was 668, comes with a 2 year guarantee.
seems to have resolved my steering lock issue.
