hi Guys

I'm having a weird issue with my rear lights. I have cc-id 115 and cc-id 116 warning. When i checked the right side reverse light bulb i see that it is not blown.(cc-id 115).

For the other warning which is the rear left indicator, there is no LED's blown either, when i use the indicator it flashes fast as if there is a blown bulb. When i use the hazards, it works fine with no fast flashing.

Has anyone had this and how do i fix it?

I had somewhat similar issues on the E60 some time ago. I would get random bulb failures, but when checking the respective bulbs they were fine.

After some reading I found out that it was an earthing issue. I replaced the entire length of earth wire ( outside of the harness) on the rear light cluster with a thicker gauge and have not had a issue since.

I had something similar. I replaced both bulbs at the back. Remember there is a backup bulb in your rear brake lights, so you won't even see if it's blown.

Once I did this I didn't connect it correctly and started seeing that fast indicator light go. Reconnected all bulbs and fittings and everything working and no more errors.

Total time to do it took about 20 minutes to change both and reconnect later that day again.
