E90 - Rattle from under drivers seat

Hey guys,

First off, the car is a E90 320d LCi M-Sport

So I have a problem whereby there is a noise coming from under my drivers seat. Whenever I turn the steering wheel to the side there is a metal on plastic noise. It like a quick rolling noise and then a small thump.

What I think has happened is something round has found it's way into the air vents under the drivers seat. But that's just my guess. I have tried to stick my fingers down the vent but I can't reach the end and didn't feel anything blocking the vents.

Has anyone had a similar experience? If so please tell me about it so I can inspect that as well.

How would I go about getting inside of this compartment to see if there is anything in there?

Thanks in advance guys.

There is a way to tilt the seat back off the seat rail which should give you enough space to have a look.

Google e90 subwoofer replacement. You will find information on how to do it.

Haha, happened to me before. I'd be too embarrassed to tell you what BMW found when I moaned about the rattle in the vent pipe...

Yeah it's damn annoying but at least I now know how to get it out. Gonna do it when I get home tonight.

Come on, do share....

Well, the service lady blushed when I asked her what it was and said the tech guy put it in an envelope in the glovebox.
