E90 professional radio

Hi guys, first time owner here. Friday I purchased a 2007 320D with what seems the professional radio. Steering wheel controls, navigation, phone in the armrest etc.

Now mine does not have the navigation dvd and BMW does not supply these anymore. And the last update was somewhere in 2012. So I take it there is no way to get the navigation working? Also I enabled bluetooth from the menu, but my phone does not discover the car and the car does not discover my phone. Any tricks here?

Old CCC system uses Disc for navigation. Later version CIC, NBT and NBT Evo headunit has built-in harddrive for map. Hence, map can be upgraded via USB port.
CCC system was installed in BMW till 2008. Then CIC 2008-2013,NBT 2013-2016,NBT Evo 2016 till now (Also has ID4, ID5 and ID6 difference).
Here is the good reading of BMW iDrive system.

I'm not sure that CCC maps still continued in Southern Africa. But definitely maps are upgrade-able from other system over internet.

For BT, check BT signal from your phone, then check boot if there's a telemetry unit, last read code see if BT failed.

So it seems mine has the CCC system installed and to upgrade to the CiC is a big hardware upgrade including trim, screen and head unit. I wonder if it is worth it.

If my bluetooth module has failed, or it is not installed where would I source one?

CcC to Cic requires

Screen, radio and I drive unit as well as coding.

If you want, I can assist with the aftermarket Android units as Danny has mentioned (Thanks bud).

I've done in my car and Avi from CT has also purchased a unit for me. Very happy with the outcome.

I had a similar issue, it turned out the previous owner changed out the business head unit for a professional head unit
