e90 LCI Software Version

So the other day I was playing around with the hidden menus on my car and found what I think is the software version. I have the 2010 e90 LCI. Anyone know where I can find out if there are any updates available as well as what the updates are for us in SA?

I'm not sure how its done on the pre LCI models, but here's a link which explains the steps. I'm not sure if this is specific to the LCI models. Its worth a try though.

You probably could get your software updated. Now only if there was a site where we could see what updates are available and what each update contains. Still searching for that...

Think i will search for it too...
And when my car goes to the stealers again i want to ask them to upgrade my software.
One thing i don't like is when you display your fuel consumption l/100km when you reset it it works nicely and you can see it going up and down as you floor the car or have a relaxing drive. When you get to half tank the damn thing almost stays constantly on 10l/100km which is :bs: in my eyes. so to get that sorted for me would be great..

I will also see if i can find something that will say what the latest software versions are and if one can get the stealers to load it

10Lper 100km is quite high my 323i in traffic driving is 8.8L currently.

Hey akash,

The dumb thing doesn't update as it should.
when that happens i normally reset it and it goes down to a acceptable level.. well it shows an acceptable consumption.. The BC probably gets too lazy to update frequently :dunno::thinking:

guys, the software version displayed is the software version currently on the cluster (ie. cluster software) , not the ecu software version..
