E90 LCI Rear LED Indicator

Hello Gents

I've been searching online, but seems all posts come to an end with no conclusion.

My car's right rear indicator is not functioning.

Last night while driving I got a light bulb warning display - checked all my brake lights plus indicators - all was working.

When I drove again this afternoon my indicator stopped working - my front indicator also flashed extremely fast now.

The error code is CC-ID 134 which means Right Brake Light Failure.

Any suggestions?

I've read that if replaced by BMW, both taillights will have to be replaced.

I think you have a module problem.. maybe frm closed that circuit because you have a short.. check in the trunk on the right side where the wires are if you have a broken one

I have an ID 10 T problem.

It seems like when I checked the brake lights this morning I didn't clip the housing back properly.

Indicator is working again.

Now to research on as to why I'm still getting the above mentioned error code.

I will be replacing the brake light bulbs tomorrow and share the results.

Just make sure that both brake lights in each housing left and right is working. Had an incident where the brake lights was working and couldnt find the problem until I looked closely, like in 5cm away from the light (was giving up by this time in finding the problem) and noticed that one of the inner brake light bulb wasnt working, replaced it and all was well again.

Mine also didn't clip in properly and that sorted the problem.

Please check that ALL FOUR brake lights are working. (E90 LCI has 2 each side that)Don't stand too close to the light when checking it because it is difficult to distinguish.

TIP: replace all four brake light bulbs with decent high quality OSRAM bulbs or BMW longlife lamps. This issue will otherwise repeat itself every few months.
