I also had a strange squeaking sound every time I locked the car. After locking and unlocking the car a few times and listening for the location of the sound, I found that it came from the fuel filler door lock. Strangely enough it sorted itself out and I don't hear that sound anymore. I drive the LCI.

They often squeal when passing through the slot. Some lube and you're sorted. :biglol:

Really really!!!

Had that same problem with a girl at tech............ it helped................:fencelook:

Q20?

It's safe for the morning cold starts :biglol:

More like lunchtime start ups, while the owner is at class, and making sure it runs fine. You know like a proper mechanic should.

Good thing I could run fast.:flyfun:

Is what we do besssst!

Never thought about the filler lock, and it was from this general area! :flyfun:
Well, hasn't been making any noises for a while, maybe they 'ky'ed' my car during that last service, but seems to have taken a while to assist in the "slip'n'slide"... :fencelook:

I think best is to take her home then........, ag sorry:fencelook:

I meant to say, best is to see if you can get the acurators from anyone but the dealers if your dad's car is out of MP, dealers probably pricey.

I have a pre LCI E90 and I don't have any door issues, but I cannot open the boot using the button on the key fob, nor from inside the car. The boot lock switch in the cubby is set to unlock . Could this also be the actuator?

Yes it could be, i would think the boot and doors work in the same manner.
So check fuses and then the boot actuator.

:bump: this happened to me on friday  non of the doors were opening couldn't open my fuel cap either had to miss the ice cream run :argh:. On saturday i change fuse on 56 and got the passenger doors open :joy: but the drivers door still wouldn't, which was cool cause it opened with the physical key. taking it to BMW rivonia on Wednesday its also due for a service so i get to kill 2 brds with one stone. just hope it doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

It was such a stupid problem to have and boy oh boy what an inconvenience.
