E90 corrupt FRM - safe to drive?

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I don't want to bore you with a long story so I'll get right to it. The last couple of months I've noticed the car cranking a lot more before it actually starts and it seemed to dip power during each start. It still had the original BMW battery in which I thought was on its way out.

About 3 weeks ago I bought a new battery and installed it, like one would do with any other vehicle. After the fitment I started the vehicle to see how she is, and then the classic FRM failure occurred. So right now I have no windows, indicators, hazards, interior lights, etc... Luckily the sunroof still operates so it helps a little bit.

I know I have to take the module in to have it re-flashed (provided it's not completely fried). At the moment there's a lot that needs to be done on the vehicle, so I'm planning to fix the FRM in the next month or two.

So...my question: Is it safe to drive the car the way she is? Or am I doing further damage by driving the car with the failed FRM?

Phone Waseem, he sorted mine out for me, the process includes removing FRM, which is super easy, and about 45 mins of work and voila... 081 517 6909
