E90 alternator belt replacement service center?

Hi Guys,

I have recently got my down pipe conversion and upon inspection noticed that the belt running across the alternator has worn/cracked better terms f#$ked,

can anyone please refer me to a good service center or anyone who can replace this for me,

U are very lucky. As that belt runs ur water pump. It could of caused a lot of damage if it broke.

Golswagen or direct from bmw. Golswagen is abt R350 I think. Can't remember. Did mine a few months ago.

But it is important. Cause if it breaks your in trouble. As the car will still run as the car runs on timing chain. But ur water pump won't be working. So don't use the car. The pic u showed the belt is gone bad.

Hey Clifton,

So i phoned every Goldwagen and most BM dealers an no one had,

I finally found one at BMW Bryanston JSN and ya lets just say im R1055 poorer this month found some docs on the web and it literally took me 5 min to replace thanks for your help bud much appreciated,

There was one other thing though yesterday before i replaced the belt i went up to the shop and my car had no boost i was stressed to the max i then got pissed off and just kept my foot flat and then at about 4000rpm it started boosting i switched car off and on again and then it was normal do you have any idea what the hell happened?

Sorry man. I'm clueless there. I haven't yet experimented with turbo.
I would however suggest that u throw a bottle of NF diesel boost with ur next fill up. It will clean the system.

Glad you came right. What a rip off from bmw. But hey it had to be done.

But if u need help to learn how to do brakes. Oil change. Let me know. Always willing to help. I love the company of other bmw fans.
