E90 Alarm dont disarm

Hi Guys

Please help got this really frustrating problem with my E90. When I lock the car the key fob, the doors will lock and beeping sound will go off. So if I want to unlock it again, only the doors open no beeping sound. If I start the car the alarm goes off.

So I have to play around open and close all doors the boot, press the key several times before it actually disarm the alarm (very embarrissing).

What might be the cause to all this?

I would start by reprogramming the key/alarm. If i remember correctly there is a sequence dictated in the owners' manual how to do it, otherwise some one on the forum should be able to help with advice.

Why does your E90 make a beeping sound?

They do not normally do that.

You probably have an aftermarket immobilizer or alarm system fitted that is now acting up.

Yea, from what I understand E90s can't have beeping for locking and unlocking programmed so you probably have a aftermarket immobilizer installed. A auto electrician should be able to assist with that.

That is not correct, E90 can have the beeping function coded in, I have had it done on mine way back in 2013:thumbs:

I have it on my E92 as well. Beeps on lock/unlock. When the siren stopped working - it had stored an error code which I picked up via the scanner so it's definitely native.
