e90 aircon problems

Got my car back recently from the panelbeaters, resprayed bumper, then the aircon makes a funny sound, my wife said i am imagining things, but it used to be quite. This sound is coming from the dashboard close to the windscreen.
Took it to bmw to have the aircon regassed, no issues.
It now only works on the passenger side, not even like it used to, and both are set to 16 degrees. I did replace the micro filter about a month ago, it was working fine until it went to the panelbeaters. What gives? Any ideas?:thumbdo:

My car's aircon has actually stopped working.
I have checked the fuzes, no problems.
I can't hear the aircon pump on the engine kick in, has anybody have a drawing
of the engine with aircon and wiring?
This could well just be a loose wire on the aircon clutch assembly, i tried to look,
but the aircon pump doesn't look like the clutch assemblies i am famillier with.

I agree with checking realoem... but its possible that the microfilter has been clogged with kak from the panelbeating process (sanding, grinding, bodyfilling, painting and so on)...


to check if the aircon is working have somebody switch the aircon on whilst you look at the compressor. you should see the aircon engage when they switch the aircon on...

Even if the clutch is faulty, you should still see the aircon engage...


if that doesnt work, then you have an electronic gremlin to be resolved... and if it does work, it is possible that the clutch is not engaging as it should be...

So i took my car to bmw today, put it onto the aircon machine,
There must be 500g of refrigirant in the system, there was 450g, so the techy told
me it doesn't look like a leak. Vacuumed and regassed the aircon, voala, it works like
before my troubles started.
This new sound that came from the dashboard is now gone, it appeared after i picked it up from the panelbeaters ( they fixed the rear bumper after an idiot drove into it) , and was also there after the regas from the agents, but it is gone now,
i hope my problem is solved now. I did replace the microfilter before this.
I must comment on how well bmw alberton helped me today, i phoned, drove in and got helped, and they were very buzy,

The aircon is at it again, the driver side is warm and the passenger side is cold, the sound behind the dash is back. This is damn frustrating, I have never had a car with aircon problems.
