E90 Air Con Compressor

Hi Guys,

Has anyone replaced an air con compressor on an e90 320i?
Is it a big job or something one can do at home?

The bearing seems to be gone so not sure whether to replace the entire pump or just the bearing?

Hi. I have had the same problem on my e90 320d. Fairly easy to remove he compressor. Not that easy to source the bearing alone. Unless you find someone willing to break up another pump. Fortunatly for me i had someone who had a spare pulley and bearing.

I seen a new compresor for R6.5

Check around for prices. I have seen them range from 4k to 7k.
