Picked the below raw CF diffuser up for a steal... Apparently its a copy of a 3D designs aftermarket one? not so sure about that... can anyone confirm?

Test fitted before spraying and a few minor repairs...

The purpose of showing it to you in this state is to show you what it will look like after primer and a top coat...

Maybe I am understanding this incorrectly but are you planning on spraying over a CF diffuser? Why? I understand to repair the diffuser but how are you going to get the CF look again on that diffuser or are you planning on just making it black

The carbon fibre was basically raw with just a resin on top. I've cleaned using acetone as the raw carbon seems to attract contamination like mad.

Clear coat plastic primer and 2k clear coat... no black or colour, spraying it clear to bring the weave out... ive got a pic of it primed just cant get it to upload for some reason...

Yip this is just the primer coat...

I was impressed with it too will be top coating with a gloss 2k clear coat today which is going to make it shine even more. :tiptoe:

Hehe would never ever ever mess :RedNo: with the CF look!

Hopefully fit the finished product on Monday! :tiptoe:

The diffuser was really rough to start with... oh did I forget to mention it was a quad pipe diffuser? (purists gonna flame me...)

Hey guys, Hope all are well...

A small update, DP fitted 76mm, Xhorst done 63mm, and quad tips with diffuser fitted...

Sorry for the pics quality but camera phone sucks...

Oh and wheel alignment done in last pic...

I cannot explain the sound this exhaust system makes... If you could embody the sound of torque then that's the only way I could explain it...:tiptoe:

and the hissing of the turbo through gear changes just sounds like heaven! (but is probably a boost leak :crazylaugh

Very happy with the results, the last little bit of work will be done on the rear diffuser, I will be adding a mesh grill into the recessed area at the bottom just to finish it off properly.

Thanks... The diffuser took abit of elbow grease lots of sanding and then the fun part spraying...

I know the quads are not everybody's style but when I de-badge I am going to confuse quite a few people hehe
