E90 325i vs E90 320d

Hi. Isn't the 325i has a whole lot more KW then the 320D. I'm guessing that from 0 till abt 160km the 320D will lead but after that the 325 will pass it. You must give us ur feedback after u test it. Would be nice.

Pullaway the sooter should be ahead if launched right, top end no chance my F30 runs out of juice at about 120Km/h that's it.. needs a remap and a dp to stand a chance against a well driven 325i ..

Do it and let's see?

Everyone is only interested in how fast each one is. For me in terms of driving enjoyment, refinement, power delivery, the 325i wins hands down,
no matter how fast the 320d is at the reef. The ability of the motor to rev hard, the lovely exhaust tone at high rpm, the instant shove when you floor it, is what you get with the 325i, all of this is sadly lacking in the 320d. When you on the go, its where the 325i comes into its element, definitely not at the bottom. Lets not forget BMW straight sixes are legendary and are as smooth as silk...............

It is for the above reasons I went from straight six E46, to 320d and back to 325i.

I really missed making that BM straight six sing, to me it was a big part of why I bought a BMW in the first place, and after the initial fantasticness of the 320d was over, I really began to miss what is major part of BMW history, that straight 6 6pack...............:praise:

Up in JHb I ran an Lci 320d and it was a lot closer than I thought. I beat it by about 2 cars to 120. I had an e90 330i. I think a 320d will give the 325i a good run

135kw 320d will kill a 325i, at the reef or coast.

Most likely. I leave light poles against a 325i with my mapped 320d. And that's at the coast...

The 135kw ones are underrated on paper, or they just put down all that power and torque so damn well.

Damn I miss my LCI

All I can say the Fuel consumption on 325i was killing me. At low speads and pull the 320d is much better but at top speed the 325i is much more allive. But that feul consumption killsme 14L/100km avarage in town and spireted driving it goes to 16L/100km. I am now converted to diesel. PPK fitted on a F30 320d will leave the 325i behind. I owned a 2009 325i LCI auto and now I got the diesel and I am happy with the move

If you drive the 325i correctly it is faster, you haveto be in the correct gear and rev it like hell.

Which correct gear and rev range 1 must be at, because i drive a 2007 130i and every corner i go there is always a GTI/ST/S3 that wanted to race me and 1 day i just wanted to teach them a lesson

Not entirely sure what you're getting at :fencelook:

That more than enough info to answer the OP’s question (albeit an old one).

This is tested at Gerotek up in Gauteng though, so it will be a slightly less sad case for the 325i down at the coast.
