E90 320i whisting noise

Hi guys,

i got an e90 320i, and have picked up a whistling noise coming from the engine, any ideas whats wrong? i did a recent trip to durban and it got way louder, i'm worried coz i dont want the thing to break and it's embarassing.

Any help is much appreciated.

Check the intake hoses and rubbers for cracks as these create air suction leaks/whistling

Does the whistling get louder with increased engine speed? If so it could be tensioner pulley on its way out, (either that or a supercharger )

Lol, ddnt do any upgrades yet, but when I cheked there is a little grease by the pullies and on the head like an oil leak.. Will post some pics later on.. Tx for all the replies
