E90 320i 2011 Door Latch

Hi guys.
Overnight the front passenger door latch stopped working. I can hear the actuator being activated with the key, but nothing happens...the lock button doesn't move. I opened everything up to check if something popped out, but everything is in place. Any ideas as what the problem might be? Or should I just replace the actuator?

You'll probably have to replace the actuator. My drivers and rear right passenger door did the same thing. Managed to grab the two actuators for just under a grand and now they're both working perfectly.

Where did you get them from?

Got them from a local 2nd hand spares place in Port Elizabeth close to where I work. This was for my 2007 E91 though, your 2011 might be a bit more expensive but I can give them a buzz and find out if they have and maybe courier them up to you?

Contact Forum advertisers ABM BMW, you can pick up a brand new set of oem actuators for around a grand

OP. See my PM.

I got my set from ABM.

It was cheaper to buy, both, the lhs and rhs locksets as opposed to just getting the one side.

Don't ask why lol but this is why I have spare passenger side parts.

Hi guys. Just an update. Sourced the actuator. Installed it under 30min, everything's back to normal. Thanks for all the advice.
