Oh and I had a scrap with an X5M...and it's safe to say that I'm pretty amazed at the power of this little 2.0D

If you can’t find Autosol you can also use Sonax Metal Polish.

As for the X5M scrap - consider yourself lucky. If he really wanted to play your fun would be over before it began. Those things are brutal.:cartel:

He was definitely humouring you.

Nonetheless, it’s always great to see those big beasts run.

So no new updates yet..SW was supposed to happen in December but unfortunately we have unprofessional people around this parts of the world. I've done something I should have done from the beginning and spoke to our local RK guy, now I'm just waiting for feedback from him...:cthulhu:

In other news my car developed insane fuel consumption figures over the last 2 weeks :fencelook: it went from averaging 6-7 l/100 to averaging 9-12 l/100 :skit: for the life of me I couldn't figure out why...before I could have it scanned, it returned back to "normal" over the weekend so I'll keep a close eye on it to see what happens over the course of this week. As far as I could tell there's no leaks of any sort.

Some of the guys I spoke to recommended throwing in some injector cleaner? Now I know this has been debated extensively but does anyone have any recommendations for this in terms of brand etc. I did a search and couldn't find any recent (2017-present) posts.

I have used Wynn’s and Liqui Moly injector cleaner before.

Both have good reviews locally and internationally.

For the price you pay it’s worth a shot.

Thanks a lot for the response! I'll try and get either of them and see what happens.

After scratching my head for days, I decided to check the air filter and it appears the engine was struggling to breathe through a very blocked air filter :fencelook: a quick trip to the local Goldwagen and R220 later, she's breathing just fine and fuel consumption is back to normal :smilebounce: Mind you the car has a full service history at the agents :fencelook: and a quick look at this history indicated the filter was last changed 50 000km ago...

The old filter:

I was quoted R984 for an OEM filter, which to my knowledge is a MANN filter with BMW branding on it..next maintenance step is to change the diesel filter and a bottle of injector cleaner next weekend when I fill up the tank.

Anyway on to some post car was pics :cartel:
