Ha ha ha, Mr. Arne is needed lol

A lot of diesels, the F30, F10 all have straight pipes now including the new Audi's and Mercs too.

A friend of mine had a E90 320d Msport on which he left the downfacing pipe and got a twin dummy tailpiece welded straight on where the existing pipe bends. The tailpipes were slightly bigger than the ones the 330i's come with and looks very smart. Was done at Primaforce Exhausts and they did a very neat job. Best part the chrome tailpipes stayed shiny all the time, and how rare is that on a diesel. Car had motorplan and he's now traded in for a F30 320d but no MP issues. I have pics but I mostly use my phone for the forum so a bit hard to post them.

I've noticed the Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.9TDI's back gets sooted up very badly. The hatch on a yellow one I saw was looking almost wrapped matt black. Lol.

I'll speak to the exhaust shop about this as well thank u  ..been pretty busy and might not be in town for a few days..as soon as I do the tips I will post up pics of what I finally decide to do

Hi guys, only see this thread now.
I'm in two minds now, go for the twin straight facing tips or one big shiney single tip with a 45 degree bend ( looking down) that looks like one of the two 3.0tdi audi tips just biger and well more shiney.

I have also seen a few E90 320d's with a freeflow box at the back and it sounds flippen good. Will this void the m/plan if I change the back box?

Yes, it will void your MP. EXCEPT if you install the BMW approved one. I recall them selling at about 6K.

Part number etc. here.

6K ... ouch!

can get box and tip for about 1k at a exhaust shop.
Maybe I'll just do the tip for now and the box after my last m/plan service (12 000km).

so twin straight tip or big round single (down facing) tip ?

I would opt for the twin straight as that is what the BMW performance silencer looks like. I am very pro OEM. Note that, when looking from the rear, the left pipe is about 10-20mm shorter than the right.

That looks awesome xcalibur

Unfortunately it's not mine. That is the BMW Perf Silencer though. 6K is a bit steep.

I also want to do the twin tailpipe, but want it to look as close to that as possible.

UPDATE!!!! : ok so I went ahead and did it..noticed the turbo wastegate noise got a lil louder with the pipes facing up...but with the windows up you can't hear a thing..is this normal though? (it is a new turbo so can't be a problem on the turbo)..with regards to the puff on putting your foot down..the soot gets blown into the guy behind you and it's not dark heavy soot like trucks anyway ...what do you guys think?
