E90 320D Noise level

Hi gents. I have a 2011 320d e90 . Did anyone ever try to reduce the noise level of the engine? My one is getting louder as the mileage goes up. I am on 189 000km. Just a thought. And please, not to buy a new diesel.:=):

My F30 320d 'tappers' sounds louder but when I change my oil at BMW it sounds fine again. I'm at 208000km long distance driving. I think you should change the oil every 12000km instead of the 15000km otherwise it might be there's a leak in the exhaust manifold as it can cause the engine to run louder.
