I dont have the answer as to why, Not a real Diesel Fundi.

Is the First part the one you refering to?

The delete kits that i have seen are basically a cap that block the ports where the hoses go but i can't find the kit locally

I heard that some guys used normal thin sheet metal, like that from the old metal containers oil came in and made a solid gasket with just the holes cut out for the bolts. The egr was then refitted with the metal gasket to blank off the port.

Could be a quick fix to see if you’re problem is solved, then order a proper kit.

@E-Male yeah i could see that working but i wouldn't trust something that thin if i want to remove the cooler completely because of the internal leak i think ill start asking some engineering shops if they can make me some blanks

Just an idea, before you go to engineering shops maybe check with the local diesel tuners or forum advertisers that do work with these diesel cars. They might be able to assist on some of these delete kits or blanks you speak off

Hi everyone

Thanks for all the comments and advise and everyone willing to help me in getting the delete kit, unfortunately did not have time to wait so i got a secondhand cooler that is in good condition and i fitted it yesterday , the car sprayed water out the exhaust on the first start but after a 2km dive everything seems to be back to normal the real test will be the 100km round trip commute to work and back tomorrow

Thanks again to everyone, i have had to replace something on the car every month for the last 6 months and i started wondering if getting a bmw was the right choice but thanks to everyone here i feel like i can work out all the issues:ty::praise:

Hi r-hart

It seems that it was a faulty cooler . I managed to find a good second hand one for R2k because i did not have time to wait for importing a delete kit or manufacture one. I have driven about 1000km after replacing the cooler and the car is running fine no miss firing no water loss and no white smoke .

Nice work trouble shooting and finding the issue bud:praise: now I have an idea of what to look for if my car starts acting up!!

My 530d had a pin hole on one of the water pipes to the water pump car started over heating at night on the highway.... couldnt see much and with the amount of coolant all over the belt etc thought it was for sure water pump....

I stressed my nutz off and got the car home next day checked everything found the pipe was ripped, replaced it bled the system and car is perfect...

So sometimes the smallest of things will give you such a panic you would think the worst of it

My current situation with a 530d. Taking it to the garage tomorrow, I fear the worst.

Good day guys.
Am reviving an old post. I am shaving a similar issue on my e90 N47. I had been topping up my coolant every day and i have a fine spray out my exhaust. I am also praying that its not a head gasket and waiting to do a coolant pressure test but in the meantime where can i get the EGR delete kit and how much can it be?
