Car is back with Leo Haese. Let's see if they can fix it permanently this time round. Got a 320i Auto as a loaner...

Took my car in on Wednesday and it's hasn't been switched on since, according to Matrix tracking. Just phoned them and they havn't got round to my car yet as the workshop foreman is waiting for an experienced mechanic to look at my car as it's back for the same problems.

Looks like I'm stuck with the 20i for the weekend. What a pain in the arse! They better fix it properly this time. (You gotta love the new CPA)

My car is getting some attention today. They got clearance to replace all the pulleys to resolve the squeal and someone from BMW SA is there to investigate the vibration problem. They're not sure what's causing it. May have my car back tomorrow.

That is a very strange problem. I hope they get it sorted this time. I don't understand why they can't manage the cars they have in the service department better. I mean, if they know they will only get to work on it in a weeks time, why can't they just book it and then you bring it in next week. Why it has to stand there for a week before they touch it is just stupid.

Can't agree with you more. At least they gave me a courtesy car this time and I don't have to bother friends for lifts.

I really hope it's sorted this time. My BMW experience is not as smooth as what i've hoped for, coming from Ford.

Looks like my car is running like it should at last.

Not sure about everything done to fix the problems, but it included:

1. Replacing all the pulleys and belts.
2. Re-aligning front subframe. (Someone made incorrect adjustments to it.)
3. Removing, servicing and replacing steering column.
4. Securing fuel line.

Hope it's sorted permanently this time. Lets see...

What was the cost incured according to MP invoices?
