Howdy gents. Im currently getting about 6 liters per 100km on my horse. Its an auto. I am on highways mostly in the morning and afternoon. Is this high fuel consumption? Ive seen a few threads suggesting this is high consumption for a 320d.

So far:
  • Stage 1 software
  • DP
  • Swirl flap Delete
  • EGR Delete
I am approaching a service and I am unsure if I should ask them to check the fuel injectors.

Diesel engines, in this instance your 20d, takes around 15km of highway driving to completely reach operating temps.

I average 5.5l on a 30km one way commute (110km/h), but when the car is driven for longer periods, the consumption drops to a staggering 4.8l/100km.

I have basically the same mods that you have, just that I drive the LCI 320d.

Run some liqui moly injector cleaner every 3000km-4000km through your fuel system. Cheap preventative maintenance.

Thanks Craig. I'll get some LM this week and give it a go.

I usually travel from Table View to Stellenbosch so the highway commute it fairly easy (very little hills). I reset the dash this morning and found that my average was 5.4 - 5.7. Will keep the thread updated

Completely normal. Take her out for a longer journey, Nama-Karoo showcasing some nice flowers now lol, and see the consumption improve drastically.
