technical E70 Park Brake Failure

Hi Guys,
On an E70, the OBD says park brake failure. Diagnostic states communication failure. No actuator failure present.
Anyone had the similar issue where it's just the button that's malfunctioned?
Just wondering if it's the just the switch that's needs replacing.
Is there any way of making sure?

IS it still functioning, if it is do a reset. mine got stuck, used the emergency release, never got to replace it, had it in for a gearbox flush at FTF and after it was there, the park brake worked 100% again, think they only did a reset.
