E61 - none in South Africa?

As the title says, are there practically none in the country?

I've seen one ad for an E61 530i, and one for the E61 M5. I think the E61 is a perfect touring. The front end compliments it perfectly.

I'm still looking out for a touring, or well priced X3, but I'd love to try out the E61.

Anyone know why there aren't any here?

Yeah only 1 or 2 running around locally.
I think the soccer moms prefer the GT type vehicles than the tourings, so the numbers probably didnt make sense to for bmwsa to bring in. I dont think e39 touring sold too well either locally, so that could be an added factor.
Sad really cos I wouldnt mind having an e61.

I spotted a black M5 touring in Durban with GP plates a couple of months ago. Hens teeth.

Audi is the only brand that makes the best looking estates... IMHO

That's why they bring them in and other marques don't.

But I'd prefer the E61 over an Audi Avant or X5

I had the privilege of seeing 2 E61 M5s in a space of 10 min in Midrand once :rollsmile:
