E60 - Trunk Wont Open

Hi all,

I am new to the BMW world and this is my first post ...
Have been reading a while and info abound thanks for that.
However unle to get solid answer on above topic so hope and as I am only able to have the car booked with Cedar Isle Auto end next week I am looking forward to tips or suggestions.
So problem as follows:
Trunk wont open using key fob , actual key or hidden under boot handle it feels mechanical as I hear the clinking noise when operating the boot button but nada. Now the info diplay keeps showing ' Boot Lid Open' but can push further nor can find a way to open and yes the 520d does not have rear fold seats so pretty much stuffed.

Only possitive is there is no dead body in the boot http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/images/smilies/Top24/rollsmile.gif else it was going to get smelly by the time BMW can attend to it .

Thanks in advance.

ps/ And yes indeed all doors unlocked then tried with key or trunk release no joy.

Quick Update,

car can only be opened by drilling a hole behind number plate to release latch or break tail light to gain access to boot this is according to BMW ;-( go figure this much for plan B or C surprising dealer wasn't aware of this I had made 7 calls to local BMW dealerships asking to speak to each service floor manager or Forman as the so called service advisors are mostly clueless. Chap at Club Motors and Ceder were knowledgable and sounded like the drove bm's indeed.
On days like these I miss my Lexus IS sorry chaps
